Khmelnytsky National University is one of the biggest higher educational institutions in Ukraine. The university was founded in 1967. In 2004 by the President Decree it was awarded the status of National. Khmelnytsky National University is an educational institution of the 4th accreditation level. The university is a state institution and subordinates to the Ministry of education and science of Ukraine. The prospective program of university development for 2008-2012 was ratified by the academic council in 2008. Defining and grounding program tasks the most valuable were factors as follows:

1. Further development of integration into the European educational space, based on the principles of the Bologna Declaration and a necessity to rebuild educational system, scientific work and process of education.

2. Trend to guarantee high quality of higher education. Complete and actual membership of Ukraine in the European Association for Quality Assurance (EAQA).

 Role in the project.

 KhNU will take part in the next activities of the project:

- analysis of the existing University Management systems and special needs of the university information management.

- establishment of the Coordination Council.

- organization of the Conference dedicated to discussion and approval of the concept of university information management .

- selection staff for training on university management in EU.

- organization of the intensive language courses for the selected staff.

- organization of a seminar-presentation for knowledge exchange.

- development and publication of the Report on ways towards for organization of the IT-centers.

- provision of the IT-centers with the necessary equipment.

- development of a distributed university management information system.

- information campaign in mass-media.
